Måling og modulering af ændringer i hvile-EEG under akut og langvarig smerte

Forskere på Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain (CNAP) på Aalborg Universitet søger efter frivillige til et forsøg om effekten af kort-og langvarige smerter på hjernens netværk.
​
Du kan deltage i forsøget, hvis du er rask, i alderen 19-44 år, er højrehåndet og taler og forstår engelsk.
Du kan ikke deltage, hvis du er gravid, har allergi over for chili, lider af kroniske smerter, har akutte smerter på forsøgstidspunktet, indtaget koffein eller alkohol de sidste seks timer før forsøget eller hvis du har brugt hårprodukter, fx gele, inden forsøget.
Forsøget er inddelt i tre delprojekter og du kan deltage i et eller flere delprojekter.
Delprojekt 1: Forsøget består af to forsøgssessioner adskilt af 24 timer, varighed ca. 3 timer hver.

Vi måler aktiviteten i din hjerne

Vi sætter plaster med capsaicin (det aktive stof i chili) eller plaster uden virkning på din hånd eller underarm

Du skal udføre en motorisk opgave, hvor du skal følge bølger på en computerskærm
Der udbetales en kompensation på i alt kr. 150 pr. laboratorietime (dvs. den tid du tilbringer i laboratoriet) for din deltagelse i forsøget. Beløbet er skattepligtigt og vil derfor blive indrapporteret til Skat som B-indkomst. Bemærk at du skal have en gyldig arbejdstilladelse, hvis du kommer fra et såkaldt tredjeland.
Forsøget er godkendt af Den Videnskabsetiske Komité for Region Nordjylland, sagsnummer N-20190057.

Probing and modulating changes in resting EEG during acute and prolonged pain

Researchers at Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain (CNAP) at Aalborg University are looking for volunteers for an experiment on the effect of short- and long-term pain on the networks of the brain.
You can participate in the study if you are healthy, aged 19-44 years, are right-handed, and speak and understand English.
You cannot participate if you, among others, are pregnant, have allergy to chili or if you suffer from chronic pain or acute pain at the time of the experiment. Additionally, you cannot participate if you have consumed caffeine or alcohol in the last six hours before the experiment or have used hair products, such as gel, prior to the experiment
The experiment is divided into three sub-projects, and you can participate in one or more of these sub-projects.
Sub-project 1: The experiment consists of two experimental sessions separated by 24 hours, lasting for about 3 hours each.

You are to fill in questionnaires

We will conduct pain tests

We will measure the activity in your brain

We will apply a patch with capsaicin (the active ingredient in chili) or a patch with no effect on your hand or forearm

You are to perform a 30-minute motor task where you will be tracing waves on a computer screen
You will receive DKK 150 per laboratory hour (the time you spend in the laboratory) as compensation for your participation in the experiment. The amount is liable to tax and will therefore be reported to the Danish tax authorities as B-income. Please note that you must have a valid work permit if you come from a so-called third country.
The experiment has been approved by The North Denmark Region Committee on Health Research Ethics, project number N-20190057.
